Nowadays, the Technical University of Košice is one of the biggest and largest universities in Slovakia (university area has got more than 43 hectares), it has got nine faculties and three campuses in two regional cities in Košice and in Prešov.
CATERING
Catering for students and staff of the Technical University of Košice is provided by three student canteens, two staff canteens, six bistros, Libresso – cafeteria and pastry service with refreshment, a bar V club – a cultural and social centre and a baguette shop. Catering facilities are located either directly on the premises of the Technical University of Košice or in the student dormitories.
The canteen serves breakfast and lunch on weekdays. There are several snack-bars which serve food and refreshment at cheap prices in the area of the university campus.

ACCOMMODATION
The capacity of beds at student dormitory is almost 5000 beds.
Each student can rent a furnished room with access to a kitchen, bathroom, and recreational facilities after meeting the requirements and being assigned accommodation. All students are requested to observe the house rules strictly and to show some courtesy towards their fellow-students.
TUKE does not provide private market housing.
Students staying at the residence halls are registered at Foreigners Police, therefore it is necessary to pay attention to visa requirements. For more information please go to the section Practical information at this web site.

Student Dormitories Jedlíkova, Košice
The student dormitories in Jedlíkova Street belong to the largest student accommodation complex of the Technical University of Kosice and of the city itself. They are located on the outskirts of the city, which enhances the feeling of small student estate housing. In the vicinity there are shopping centres with the possibility of sporting and cultural activities.
The capacity of the dormitories is 3008 beds including 60 beds of a hotel type which serve tourists coming to Košice. Near the dormitories there are bus and tram stops which provide a good access to the city centre, or to the bus and railway stations. The dormitory complex also includes student canteen, snack bar, bars, gyms, and the cultural and social centre with a theatre hall. Student accommodation is provided in the units which include two double standard-furnished rooms. The unit includes hallway with bathroom and refrigerator. Each floor has a kitchenette with hotplate and microwave. Of course there is an Internet network with high speed connections. The dormitories have three laundry rooms and several rooms set up as gyms. In the dormitories the student clubs such as Rádio9 or Student television are established and they inform students about what happens at the university and in the city.
The renovated units are provided in hotel accommodation. What can be found in the hallway are a small kitchenette, refrigerator and kettle. Hotel-type units are equipped with complete bathroom with shower, hairdryer, WIFI, CTV. The dormitory complex has sufficient capacity for parking cars or coaches.
Accommodation in guest rooms is provided throughout the calendar year.
Student Dormitories Němcovej 1, Košice
The Student Dormitories Němcovej are located in the immediate vicinity of the Technical University of Košice. They provide accommodation for students and visitors of Košice in renovated and cosily furnished double and triple rooms, in a separate one-bed studio and an apartment furnished in style.
Accommodation is available even during the summer holidays.
Rooms for guests are equipped with satellite TV, CD player, refrigerator and Wi-Fi Internet connection. Rooms have fully equipped bathroom.
Complementary facilities include a reception with non-stop service, canteen and snack bar with hot meals on weekdays, and drink vending machine.
Near the accommodation centre there are bus and tram stops. The nearest restaurant is less than 600 m away in the shopping centre with marketplace.
The Student Dormitories Němcovej are located near the historic centre of Košice, just 2 km from the St. Elizabeth´s Cathedral, the Singing Fountain, the State Theatre, the House of Art and Hrnčiarska Street – the crafts lane. The Botanical Garden, the Zoo Garden, the Observation Tower with partly reconstructed walls of Košice castle, ski resort Jahodná, Anička Park, horse-riding centre, all these places bring an atmosphere of peace in the heart of beautiful nature which is in close proximity of the student dormitories.
Ferko Urbanek Student Dormitories, Košice
The dormitories are located in the city centre near the Technical University of Košice. They offer nice accommodation for students and guests. Their advantage is the possibility of free parking in a well-lit parking lot directly in front of the dormitories.
Student rooms are mostly double rooms with standard equipment, guest rooms are comfortably furnished in units 2 + 2 with reconstructed bathrooms.
For your comfort we offer the possibility to have lunch in the canteen on weekdays. In the premises of the Student Dormitories there is also a bar / T club / where you can relax.
The advantage of these dormitories is their location, which offers a wide range of cultural and sporting events, and leisure activities - 15 minutes’ walk to the centre, to the Botanical garden, and by means of public transport to the adjacent recreation areas such as Bankov, Anička, the Zoo, the Children's Historical Railway whose route length is 4.2 km.
Student Dormitories Budovateľská 31, Prešov
Student Dormitories Budovateľská 31 offer comfortable accommodation with catering for students and guests and provide interesting services for accommodated students and guests. There is high-speed Internet throughout the dormitories and Wi-Fi in the lobby. The dormitories include canteen with the possibility of breakfast and lunch, large fitness centre, table tennis, outdoor asphalt sports ground, outdoor secured parking. Students and guests can use laundries with dryers, kitchenettes, bike room, conference room, and multimedia clubhouse. The student dormitories are located about 200 metres from the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies and approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre and 10 minutes from the train and bus station. Public transport stops are also in close proximity of the dormitories.

There is high-speed Internet throughout the dormitories and Wi-Fi in the lobby. The dormitories include snack bar, fitness centre, and table tennis. Students and guests can use laundries with dryers, kitchenettes, bike room, multimedia clubhouse, or outdoor secured parking. The Student dormitories are located about 300 meters from the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies and approximately 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre and 10 minutes from the train and bus station. In terms of sports facilities located in close proximity there is sports hall, hockey stadium, or cycle routes along the river Torysa. Public transport stops are also in close proximity of the dormitories.
